In
2008, Francis was accepted to the National Circus School of Montréal.
He spent the next 5 years training, exploring and perfecting diverse
circus techniques, primarily Cyr wheel, aerial silks and duo Cyr
wheel. Supported by a strong preparation in fields such as theatre,
acrobatics and dance, he worked intensively to create an innovative
Cyr wheel act, which integrated an aerial feature. In 2013, Francis
proudly received his diploma of studies and achievements from
ENC.
During his last years of study, Francis was enrolled to work
with a group called Cirqiniq as an social circus instructor in
Nunavik. He frequently worked with them while doing his first steps
in the performance world. Less than 6 months after completing school,
he was hired to perform in Europe, Asia, Middle-East, North America
and South America.
Near
the end of 2013, his accomplishments led to an invitation to the
Moscow International Festival of Circus Arts ''Idol’’. His
originality and innovation with the wheel were recognized by the jury
of medias, and he was awarded the silver prize. Not long after, in
recognition at The 1st China International Circus Festival, he won
the bronze trophy as well. He has presented his act in many other
circuses and is now continuing to pursue and expand his career.
